Christmas Survey

Christmas Survey
I Like To Take Christmas Surveys, So I Thought I Would Do One For You Guys!

1) What's Christmas like at your house? Okay. Our Christmas season usually starts at Thanksgiving Dinner. We listen to Christmas music during Thanksgiving dinner. Then, on Black Friday we usually put up the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas tunes. Then, on Christmas Eve, we usually get pumped for the night time and we kids watch as many Christmas movies as we possibly can. Soon, it is Christmas Eve night and we get a box. It is always Christmas pajamas. We watch “A Christmas Story” and then we watch other movies. We sip hot cocoa and talk and my dad asks what we want for Christmas to anticipate disappointment. So, then we go to bed and we wake up. We get up whatever time, and then we get our stockings open. We eat breakfast, and then we open the gifts. Later, we stop for lunch and open more. Then we stop and eat dinner and open the last of the gifts.
 2) What's your Christmas wish list? It’s long J
 3) Do you believe in Santa? No, but I do believe that Santa claus is a spirit. A character of love, happiness, and other characteristics. Just not an actual person.
 4) Do you track Santa on NORAD on Christmas Eve? For fun!
 5) What is your favorite type of cookie? Chocolate Chip
 6) Eggnog or hot chocolate? Hot Chocolate. Eggnog is too rich
 7) What's your favorite part of Christmas? Everything J
 8) Who's your favorite reindeer? Rudolph, or Prancer.
 9) Favorite stocking present(s)? Kit Kats
 10) What's your favorite Christmas movie? “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation” better known as “Christmas Vacation”
 11) What do you do Christmas Eve when you can't sleep? I simply count.
 12) What time do you open presents in the morning? I don’t really know. Whatever time we decide.
 13) Where do you go for Christmas? If not anywhere, where do you wish you could go? I stay home. And that’s the only place where I would like to be
 14) What's your favorite Christmas song? Modern Classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey Traditional Classic “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby
  15) Do you leave cookies and milk for Santa Christmas Eve? I used to
 16) What's your favorite Holiday dinner? Ham
 17) Who do you spend Christmas with? My dad, mom, my sister, and my dog
 18) Favorite Christmas Character? Buddy The Elf

How To Make The Most Of Your Christmas Season

Have you ever found yourself wishing that you made the most of your Christmas season? You shouldn't have to! Learn how to make the most of your Christmas season this year.

First of all, you should listen to all of the Christmas music that you possibly can. Do you have some CD's in your house? Pop those into the car CD player. Listen to them on your radio. Listen to all of the CD's that you have. Even if you have 300 of them, you should try to listen to all of them. Go on a 365 days a year Christmas station. This is great for Christmas nuts. Go on Pandora, and listen to Christmas music. If you have some on iTunes, listen to that. Make a Youtube playlist. Listen to all of the Christmas music that you can. It's a great way to start feeling festive.

Second of all, you should watch all of the Christmas movies that you can. They don't have to be movies though! They can be specials (Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, The Year Without A Santa Claus, etc.) or even Christmas episodes of shows. Watch them on the internet if you don't want to rent. Pop in that DVD that you've watched over and over. Pop in that old VHS. Go and find some good deals at the store for Christmas movies. Buy that DVD that you've been wanting to watch. If you have lots of Christmas movies, watch them. Lots of them. Even if you have 500 of them, you should try to watch them all during the holiday season.

Third of all, you should try to be as festive as you possibly can. Try to create what you would call a "Picture Perfect" scene of Christmas that you would love. Maybe think of this:
You're watching your favorite Christmas movie. You have a blanket over you and the fire place going. You take a sip of your hot cocoa/eggnog/favorite holiday drink and your dog (if you have one) comes to lay next to you. If you don't have a dog, you have your family surrounding you. You all laugh at the part in the movie, but you burn your tounge on your cocoa. But, it's all good.
Make yourself some cocoa and watch a Christmas movie. Listen to Christmas music. Get your pet a Christmas sweater. Bake cookies. Do yourself a favor and just be happy!

Which Should You Curl Up With This Holiday Season?

Two Holiday Favorites:
Hot Cocoa and Eggnog.

Both of these are Holiday favorites. But, which one is healthier than the other? First off, let's discuss the calorie count. Some instant Cocoas can be up to 150 calories or more per serving. But, if you think about eggnog, Cocoa does a lot better with calories. Eggnog can have 180 calories in half of a cup. It can also contain as much as six grams of saturated fat! That's 30% of your daily recommended intake. Eggnog is made of whole milk, has a lot of sugar and also lots of cream. Eggnog contains protein from the raw eggs, but, it has much more calories and fat than cocoa does.
But, we aren't giving cocoa all of the glory. Cocoa can have as much as 210 calories if you add whipped cream! A serving of cocoa can be from 8-12 oz. while a serving of eggnog is 4 oz. Not very much in the scheme of things. Cocoa does win the battle for calories.

If made with natural cocoa powder, Hot cocoa has a number of health benefits. Natural antioxidants are one of them. Natural antioxidants are good in preventing heart disease, and also, cocoa tastes amazing. Store bought eggnog contains more calories, and lets just say doesn't have the great taste that cocoa does. However, homemade eggnog might taste better, but has steep calories, steep fat, and does taste a little better than store bought eggnog.

This holiday season, hot chocolate is the way to go. It is great, and better for you than eggnog is. Also, you don't have to wait as long for it to come out.

How To Make Christmas Come Sooner

How To Make Christmas Come Sooner
If you're someone like me, who loves Christmas, and absolutely cannot wait for it to come, you should really read this! It can help you get rid of the feeling that Christmas will never come, and instead make it feel like it didn't take long to get here at all.

  1. Don't look at the clock so often. Remember the saying, "A Watched Pot Never Boils". You should only look at the countdown clock every week or two, so you look at the clock and see "Hey, Christmas is coming soon!" So then it seems like time is flying.
  2. Listen to Christmas music. Don't blare it in your speakers so the whole neighborhood can hear, though. You should listen to it with headphones on so nobody gets angry with you. Don't constantly listen to it, just listen to it sometimes.
  3. Watch a Christmas film. Maybe watch "A Christmas Story" or "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" to make feelings of Christmas come back. These movies are fun, and pretty funny. They are considered modern holiday classics. Or if these aren't your cup of tea, maybe you should consider "It's A Wonderful Life" or "Miracle On 34th Street"
  4. Pass Time. Go on a website like www.bored.com or www.addictinggames.com These websites have really fun games including Flappy Bird and other popular games. These games are insanely fun and you will notice time flies. You can also go on Pinterest and look at Christmas related ideas. If you would like, you could also do things like ice skating, you could volunteer at an animal shelter or soup kitchen, all of those things are really good to pass your time.
  5. Learn Something New. Whether it is changing a tire, or even learning how to play an instrument, you should learn something new. It not only will help you pass time, it will help you feel more confident about yourself.
  6. Do Christmas Crafts. Are you having a Christmas Party? Then you could hand out chocolate bars. But, what good are chocolate bars without cozies? You could make paper rudolphs and slip the chocolate bars into those. If you want, you can make a few tree ornaments. If you're really ambitious, try to make all of the ornaments for your tree. The possibilities are endless. You could sew your pet a Christmas sweater, or you could make them a new leash. You could even make them a Christmas Eve outfit, Christmas Pajamas, (make sure they are loose!) and a Christmas Day outfit. Only do this if your pet likes clothing. You could sew yourself a matching outfit, if you would like. You could also make Santa hats for your friends, family, and even sell them! Making snowflakes is fun too! You could even buy an advent calendar sewing kit and sew it together.
  7. Go on www.snowdays.me.com. This website is fun for making snowflakes, and there are lots of different designs to make!
  8. Plan your Christmas season. Make a Christmas movie schedule. Make a schedule for what song you will listen to first. Make a Christmas playlist on youtube, or iTunes.
  9. Be happy. Make Christmas the best yet.

I really hope I can help you. If you ever need anymore ideas, you can comment them below!

Introduction

Hi Everyone,
MistleToeSnow here! Follow me on twitter @MistleToeSnow, and also follow me on Pinterest on @MistleToeSnow. On Twitter I post pictures of Christmas trees, but more importantly is this blog.

I'm a girl who absolutely loves Christmas. Hence why I am making this blog in July. I am actually pretty interested in Christmas, the story of how modern day Santa Claus came to be, and how others celebrate Christmas. Christmas is a wonderful holiday. Christmas makes people happy. Christmas is that time of year where your troubles are gone. Christmas season are the best days of my life. I am one of the happiest people on Christmas. I love Cocoa, (sometimes I drink it in the summer) and I love Christmas cookies. But I'm careful not to overindulge. I love Christmas movies, and music, and the feeling of Christmas. Especially living in peace during Christmas. I love the decorations and even the weather. I love Christmas.

Merry *very* early Christmas, remember, 169 days away!
